10. Afrojack

Nick Van de Wall, better known as Afrojack, is a Dutch DJ, remixer, and record producer. He started his career when he was just 14 years old, playing in bars and pubs.

In 2007, he founded his record label called Wall Recordings.

In 2014 his discography “Forget the World” came out and caused a huge fan following to emerge. His song “In your face” with Eva Simmons got him a lot of recognition and put him on the radar of collaborating with some of the biggest artists such as Martin Garrix, David Guetta, Major Lazer, and more.

9. Steve Aoki

Steve Hiroyuki Aoki is an American DJ, music producer, music programmer, and record executive. He has his own record label known as Dim Mak which he established in 1996.

He is famously known as the DJ who throws birthday cakes at his fans.

He is known for his peppy and just plain enjoyable music, having no subtleties, and just bringing unbridled joy to his fans through his music.

His song Just Hold On with Louis Tomlinson is his most famous and he has also worked with big artists such as Afrojack, BTS, Will.I.Am, and Lil Jon.

8. DJ Snake

William Grigacine, better known as DJ Snake, is a French DJ and record producer.

Most people know him from his 2013 chart-breaking hit “Turn Down for What” with Lil Jon.

This song basically describes his genre of EDM: chaotic yet fun to listen to. He has since then performed with the likes of Major Lazer, Lady Gaga, and Dillon Francis.

7. Hardwell

Robbert van de Corput, better known as Hardwell, is a Dutch DJ, remixer, and record producer. He is number 1 on the DJ Mag twice, in 2013 and 2014.

He specializes in electro and progressive house music. He has a widespread influence in the EDM industry and has founded both a record label “Revealed Recordings” in 2010 as well as “Hardwell on Air” radio show and podcast in 2011.

6. Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike

Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike is a very commonly known DJ duo in the EDM world and almost everyone who knows about this genre has heard their music. They are a Belgian/Greek DJ duo who rose to recognition when they collaborated with Tomorrowland.

They specialize in electro bass and future bass. They have also been voted as the number 1 in DJ Mag in 2015 and 2019.

5. Armin van Buuren

Armin van Buuren is a Dutch DJ known for his uplifting trance, dance-pop, and electro house music.

His claim to fame is through an FM radio show called “A State of Trance” which has over 40 million listeners in 84 countries. He is also popularly known for his song “This is whatever it feels like”, a song that has also earned him a Grammy award.

He has won the Best Trance DJ award a record 10 times and holds the record for the most single entries on the Billboard Dance/Electronic albums chart.

4. Tiësto

Often touted as the “Godfather of EDM”, Tiësto has had a lasting influence on the EDM industry and has also been called “the best EDM artist of the last 20 years” by DJ Mag readers.

Tiësto is a Dutch DJ and record producer. He shot to fame with his 2000 remix of the Delerium song “Silence” and his first studio album “In my memory”.

Tiësto is also the first DJ artist to have played in the 2004 Athens Olympics. Also, his EDM remix of the John Legend song “All of Me” won him a Grammy in 2015 for Best Remixed Recording.

Christian Comstock, better known as Marshmello, is an American DJ and record producer who makes electronic, future bass and trap music. Marshmello has hit the ground running since his SoundCloud days with the help of famous DJs such as Skrillex.

Marshmello has been growing in his music for the past few years because of the uplifting and positive music that sets him apart from the rest.

Our number 1 DJ is Martin Garrix, a Dutch DJ and record producer who went viral in 2013 with his song “Animals”.

His progressive house and electro house music have gotten him immense success over the course of his career.

He created his own label STMPD RCRDS after leaving Spinnin Records in 2016, and now is in a deal with Sony Music.

With them, he has created the 2017 hit “So Far Away”, which has amassed over 100 million views on Youtube.

He has won multiple Dance Music Awards, including Newcomer of the Year, and has performed with many great artists such as David Guetta, Avicii, Dua Lipa, and Bebe Rexha.
