The plot of the game is set during a global pandemic caused by a virus and most humans are infected by the virus and these infected peoples are called Freakers. Sarah was evacuated to the National Emergency Response Organization (NERO) for medical treatment of her wounds.

Almost after two years, when Deacon assumed that Sarah was dead, he came to know that Sarah might be alive, from one of the NERO researchers. From here, the main storyline of the game begins. After a lot of consequences, Deacon finally reunites with Sarah in a govt lab, where she is working on a cure for the virus. Later in the story, Deacon killed Skizzo, who belongs to an organization named Rippers and after all this chaos Deacon, Sarah and Booze returned to the Lost Lake.

This is an open-world horror-survival game with an excellent storyline and intense climax scenes. the performances by the characters are exemplary which gives the player a true horror experience.

The story of the game is based on the player Ethan Winters, who searches for his wife Mia, who is imprisoned by a Baker Family and the Molded, which is a humanoid fungus in an abandoned house. Mia is infected and Ethan searches for some special ingredients for a serum that can cure Mia. There are many puzzles and combats present throughout the story. Unlike other Resident Evil series games, Biohazard focuses more on exploration and horror rather than action.

Hard decision making, excellent storyline and especially the characters made the game one of the best horror survival game in the whole genre.

Until Dawn is a horror survival game based mainly on third-person exploration and survival on the Blackwood Mountain until their rescue. There is no particular story present in the game. The storyline is dependent on the decisions made by you and different decisions can result in different outcomes. This is called the butterfly system.

There is a total of eight playable characters in the game. During a party on the mountain, a cruel prank caused Hannah and Beth to death. The story continues from here. After one year of that incident, another party was arranged at the same lodge. All the characters are tortured by an unknown masked man and the story continues through many different consequences until all of them are rescued.

The game mainly focuses on quick decision making for survival and the choices that are previously made can’t be revertable, which makes the story more intense and horrifying. According to your choices, the game can have hundreds of different endings.

4. Green Hell

As the story continues, the player came to know about the virus Kharaa and its cure enzyme which can be produced by the sea-emperor. The player also came to know about the mysterious force which is a large weapon, that caused the ships to crash.

The game is full of adventure and underwater exploration with objectives and mysteries to solve. Collect resources, build tools and bases, interact with underwater wildlife and explore.

The resources include food, water, medicine, tools for crafting, weapons to fight with the wildlife. There is a total of 11 regions present in the survival mode of the game. Decision making also plays an important role in survival as the player has to make decisions according to circumstances.

The Long Dark will give you an excellent adventure and survival experience with its graphics and realistic gameplay mechanics. There are no special enemies but you have to survive the cruel nature after a disastrous storm.
