Jerry Springer before coming into the television industry, served as the mayor of Cincinnati in the year 1977 for one term. Before that, he was on Cincinnati’s City Council.
Jerry Springer died in Chicago. He was at his home and reports say he died peacefully there. The controversial personality was suffering from pancreatic cancer which got worse this week and made his condition terrible.

Jerry Springer only got married once in his life which was in the year 1973. The popular host married Micki Velton. The couple met during the time Jerry was serving for Cincinnati City Council and it’s said that both met on a blind date together in 1969 and started dating after this.

The couple got divorced in 1994, there was no proper reason given for the divorce and as the couple and Jerry himself lived a low-key life, it was said that the reason for divorce was Jerry’s Television career and outrageous behavior.

Everything I have today I owe to Jerry. He was the smartest, most generous, kindest person I’ve ever known. My wife and I are devastated. We will miss him terribly.” Steve started a show of his own after getting inspired by Jerry.
