The ‘If this was a movie’ singer, dropped a big announcement that has fans going crazy! It’s the time for Speak Now (Taylor’s Version). Taylor has announced that she’ll be releasing the re-recorded version with several unreleased tracks! A big day for Swifties it is!
Taylor Swift shared this big news with her fans through her social media accounts saying,” It fills me with such pride and joy to announce that my version of Speak Now will be out July 7 (just in time for July 9th, iyky) I first made Speak Now, completely self-written, between the ages of 18 and 20. The songs that came from this time in my life were marked by their brutal honesty, unfiltered diaristic confessions, and wild wistfulness.”

The Grammy winner will be releasing the album on the 7th of July.
After her Midnight’s album, this is going to be another hit again. Fans are very excited to hear certain songs re-recorded in Taylor’s Version to stream them and break records again.

Why is Taylor Swift re-recording her albums?
Taylor Swift has been bound with Big Machine since her initial days in the music industry but the ownership of albums was in the label’s Hands. Taylor later on wanted her to be the master of her work, to let people use her songs and give permission to people but this was only going to happen if Taylor was the owner/master of her albums.
In 2019, reports say that Taylor pleaded with the label who offered a deal to her, which said, Taylor after resigning can only get her Album, one at a time when she turns in a new album. Taylor obviously denied this offer and signed a new deal that will offer her being master for her future works but not her past ones. Due to all these reasons and the whole Scooter Braun controversy, the singer decided to re-record her albums.
She owns the masters for albums: Evermore, Folklore, and Lover as the deal with the label was for albums released between 2006 to 2017.
