Kim Kardashian, media personality extraordinaire, founded the shapewear and clothing brand ‘Skims’ (previously dubbed ‘Kimono’ but later retracted due to widespread public dismay) in 2019 and has since been insanely successful in its venture. Thought to be one of the most inclusive shapewear brands out there, Skims comes in sizes till 5XL and boasts 9 color shades to fit every skin shade.

It has a large fan base on social media, where its products trend regularly with Gen-Z as its primary consumers. The company is valued at a whopping 3.2 billion as of 2022, and its collaboration collection Fendi x Skims generated almost $10 million in its first hour of sales. While it has had its fair share of controversies, it’s safe to say Skims has earned its spot on this list.

Lauded as the biggest celebrity-owned beauty brand, Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty pulls in sales like no other since 2017. The variety Fenty brings in shades is a game-changer for deeper, underrepresented skin tones which is the deciding factor for Fenty Beauty’s popularity.

After Rihanna’s iconic 2023 Super Bowl performance, during which she pulled out and went on to apply the Fenty blotting powder, there has been a huge spike in the brand’s popularity and sales. This just goes on to prove how Rihanna is a businesswoman first and foremost, and we love it.

The actress discloses that while she has seen a lot of sustainable, cruelty, and paraben-free products when in it came to beauty products, it was not the case in haircare. This gave birth to Anomaly and its following success.
