A Japanese teenager named Kazuma Sato has an untimely and embarrassing death. He meets a goddess named Aqua, who offers him a parallel world with MMORPG elements in the afterlife.

She adds further that she can grant any power she wishes to have in the parallel world. Despite hoping for a superpower, he chooses Aqua to accompany him in the parallel world. Aqua has to defeat the Devil King to return to the afterlife.

Kazuma finds Aqua dumb and useless hence he starts recruiting members for some adventures. They finally form a party with an explosion-obsessed magician named Megumin and a masochistic crusader named Darkness.

Due to the party’s dysfunctional abilities, Kazuma feels no more motivated to defeat the devil king and plans to live a comfortable and normal life in the town.

But this all remains just a dream because life keeps throwing obstacles at him in the form of monsters, giant toads, Devil King’s general, etc.

The characters are funny in their circumstances. All the characters have their unique personalities that overall make the anime enjoyable. The show is like icing on the cake. It’s entertaining, and it’s a shame that each season has only ten episodes.

Will there be Konosuba Season 3?

1. Reference for Adaptation

Unlike other anime, mostly adapted from manga or visual novels, Konosuba was an adaption from light novel series.

Many anime don’t release next seasons or abruptly end because writers/ manga artists fail to update on time, and viewers lose interest eventually.

But that’s not the case for Konosuba because it had successfully published 17 light novel volumes. Simultaneously, Konosuba’s first season, which aired in 2016, covered 1-2 volumes. The second season covered 3-4, and the movie covered the whole novel 5.

The plot for Konosuba Season 3 is expected to continue their sequel from the Crimson Legend Movie.
