5) My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU
“Getting into trouble is not a bad thing. It’s proof that someone’s watching you. I’ve got my eyes on you, so feel free to mess up as much as you want.” – Hiratsuka Shizuka-sensei (1)
The story follows a pair very closely-Hachiman Hikigaya and beautiful Yukino Yukinoshita, who have opposite yet similar personalities, offer/are forced to offer help and advice to others as part of their school’s Service Club assisted by the cheerful and friendly Yui Yuigahama.
The first season of this Short Romantic Anime is all about the development of characters. The anime deals with teenagers’ high school issues; hence, it’s very much realistic, along with fragments of developing romance between the characters.
Without a doubt, it’s the best romance anime for teens around 15 because it’s the best comparable anime to real life. The reactions to the way characters act feel so realistic.
Although some viewers complained that it’s a slow-paced anime, let me tell you, This isn’t a typical generic anime. Real-life steps and decisions take a long time when it comes to character development. This show does it smoothly (almost perfectly). It’s no doubt a masterpiece.
4) Kimi Ni Todoke

Kimi ni Todoke is a Japanese manga/light novel/ anime series. Even a live-action movie has been released based on the manga. The story follows a girl named Kuronuma Sawako, whom her classmates call Sadako (ghost girl from “The Ring”) because of her scary face and demeanor.
Then there’s Kazehaya-Kun whom she admires from a distance as she finds him refreshing”. Unlike her facial expressions, she wishes to make friends and live a life like a normal student.
But as the story of this Short Romantic Anime progresses, she starts to affect those around her, including Kazehaya-Kun… Will Kazehaya and Sawako be together? Will she ever find friends? Will there be a love triangle? Watch to find out more.
I feel bad for Kimi no Todoke because many viewers don’t watch it after reading the plot/summary; the readers find the series is too plain or hollow. But people who decide to watch this anime based on the summary they have read will most likely miss this gem of a show. So I would highly recommend you to watch instead of giving up by reading the summary.
3) Nodame Cantabile
“The ocean and outer space are the same thing… There’s no air. It’s bleak and it’s lonely… Humans have walked on the surface of the moon, but we still haven’t been to the deepest part of the ocean.”

Nodame Cantabile is also one of my favorite rom-com anime, including comedy, romance, and a slice of life. It’s a manga series written by Tomoko Ninamaya and centers around a conservatory for classical music.
This Short Romantic Anime series became popular around 2015 and was soon adapted into live-action and anime TV series (and even a Korean Drama titled “Cantabile Tomorrow”).
The plot is all about the everyday life of a young, serious, virtuosic piano major and conductor Shinichi Chiaki who gradually falls in love with his carefree and bubbly neighbor pianist Noda Megumi.
Why Nodame Cantabile is one of my favorites?
Answer: It was one of those anime that I enjoyed wholeheartedly. It tells a fun story in which each tries to accomplish what they want out of life with a careful mix of humor and drama.
Finally, I’d like to say that this Short Romantic Anime came pretty darn close to perfect. I rather wish they would have used more movement during the musical pieces, but these are minor trifles. This anime is superb, and I recommend it to almost everyone (You will see no blood and violence in Nodame Cantabile. It’s very peaceful and cheery.)
2) Kouchi-wa Maid sama

Seika High, an all-boys school, turns into coed, and the female population falls under minority. So, Misaki Ayuzawa takes the leadership to reform the school and make the girls feel safer in the rough environment.
She went all out in Training, studying, and becoming the first female student council president of the school. Misaki soon gained the nickname of “demon.”
However, despite her tough-as-diamond appearance, she secretly works part-time at a maid cafe to support her family. Unfortunately, her secret gets soon revealed when Takumi Usui, a popular boy at school, discovers her in a maid uniform after school
This Short Romantic Anime would look like a cliche type rom/com, but it was pretty enjoyable. The main difference here was that Instead of the male protagonist having to protect the female protagonist, Misaki could hold on to her own in most situations. Usui was someone with whom she could share her thoughts.
The comedy snippets used in this story made me choke, whether it be Usui messing with Misaki about stalking her or Misaki always being super serious and whatnot.
Overall I found this a perfect Short Romantic Anime to watch with someone special. However, some cliche scenes are predictable. But I still found this to be a funny/heartwarming storyline that entertained me till the end.
1) Your Lie In April

Piano prodigy Kousei Arima dominated most of the musical competitions. Still, after his mother/instructor passed away, he suffered from a mental breakdown while performing at a recital. He was unable to hear the music anymore, even though his hearing was excellent.
Two years later, Kousei didn’t touch the piano and viewed the world in black and white, drained of colors. one day, and a girl changed his life. Kaori Miyazono was a pretty, free-spirited violinist who played the violin so beautifully that instantly he felt attracted to her.
Kaori helps Kousei return to the music world and understands that music should be free and mold-breaking, not structured and rigid.
If I had to sum up, then I’ll day Your Lie in April is a deceitfully masterful series that may appear light-hearted and colorful because of the animation’s palette using pastel colors that make us think it’s another romantic comedy.
But once the curtain rises from disillusionment that has been cast upon us by its false prefaces, we quickly realize that it’s no happy-go-lucky but a tragedy.
Ultimately, Your Lie in April is a slow-paced anime, but the pace matches the series’s tone. It is a solid story of two youths completing each other least expectedly.
The strong point of this Short Romantic Anime series is that it’s aurally and visually a joy to the senses. This anime series reminds us that even if some relationships are short and temporary, people will keep coming into our lives and fade away like a snowflake.
