Whitebeard was called the strongest man in the world of One Piece even before Roger’s death. He had the powers of the Devil Fruit – the Gura Gura No Mi (Tremor Tremor Fruit) which could potentially destroy the world.
He possessed all three types of Haki and defeated countless enemies. He had the power of becoming the Pirate King but he chose to create his own family; which he did successfully.
3. Shanks
Red-haired Shanks is one of the strongest Yonko out there who had defeated Kaido (when he was still growing maybe) when he had both of his arms. He is one of the most loved characters as well because of his kindness and how he inspired Luffy to be a pirate.
He didn’t have any Devil Fruit powers yet he is one of the strongest Yonko out there. He also possesses all three forms of Haki, among which his Conqueror Haki is the strongest.

4. Marshall D. Teach – “Blackbeard”
Blackbeard – is the biggest and strongest threat currently in One Piece. Ever wondered, who gave Shanks the scars on his face? It was Blackbeard. He is currently a rookie Yonko and the strongest character currently.
He has two Devil Fruit powers – Gura Gura no Mi and Yami Yami no Mi. He has the power of enduring the strongest of attacks due to his Devil fruit: Yami Yami no Mi. Also creating the largest tremors with the help of other fruit: Gura Gura no Mi.
5. Kaido

6. Charlotte Linlin – “Big Mom”
Another Yonko and one of the strongest characters in one piece are alive, who has the actual potential of defeating Kaido. Also known as Iron Balloon, Big Mom has immense strength and durability with no effects of gunfire on her body.
She is greedy and can use everyone for her own ill intentions. She ate the Devil Fruit – Soru Soru no Mi (Soul Soul Fruit) which gained her the powers of interacting with souls around her. She can also use the Conqueror Haki and also the Armament Haki is hard enough to take Luffy’s full force attack in gear 4.

7. Shiki
Shiki was another legendary pirate who went on par with Sengoku, Garp, and Roger. He is also known as the Flying Pirate and was a former member of the Rocks Pirates.
He had enormous body strength with brilliant sword skills. He ate the Devil Fruit Fuwa Fuwa no Mi which allowed him to levitate things he touched at his own will.
8. Dracule Mihawk
Mihawk, famously known as Hawkeye is the strongest swordsman in the One Piece world to date. He is one of the Seven Warlords of Seas and battled Shanks on par numerously, but after Shanks lost an arm, he declared himself the strongest swordsman in the world.
He also trained Zoro and assisted him in his improvement, finally surpassing him. He doesn’t possess any devil fruit, but he has an extraordinary skill set of natural abilities hence, making him one of the strongest. He mastered Armament-type Haki and was capable of Observation-type Haki as well.
9. Monkey D. Garp
Garp was the Vice-Admiral in the Navy. Father of Monkey D. Dragon and grandfather of Monkey D. Luffy, was an admirable person who was famous for cornering Gol D. Roger several times. He was the one who captured Gol D. Roger which won him the title of Hero of Marines.
Garp being the Vice-Admiral could use all three forms of Haki. He also had superhuman strength which allows him to throw cannonballs with his bare hands.
10. Sengoku
10th on the list of strongest characters in one piece, Sengoku was the former Fleet Admiral of the Navy and extremely intelligent. He is a battle-experienced person with a strong sense of loyalty toward the World Government. He may appear tough but he is actually very kind and compassionate.
He had demonstrated superhuman strength even without using his Devil Fruit powers. He was a very skilled hand-on-hand fighter. His mythical Zoan type Devil Fruit Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Daibutsu allows him to be in a human-Buddha hybrid. Sengoku also possesses the three types of Haki.
11. Silvers Rayleigh
He was the right-hand man of the Pirate King – Roger and famously known as the ‘Dark King.’ He was the one that picked Luffy up from his hard times and trained him about Haki. Even though he didn’t have any powers of Devil fruit, he was on par with the strongest.
Kizaru made a bold statement that if they come into condition for catching Rayleigh, they need serious preparation, which further proved the point of how strong he was. He has mastered Haki – in all three forms and hence, Luffy got the best.
12. Sakazuki
Sakazuki is one of the most arrogant and extremist characters in One Piece with the belief in absolute justice. He is currently the Fleet Admiral to the former Sengoku who resigned from the position.
He ate the Magu Magu no Mi, a Logia-type Devil Fruit which helps him to create, control, and transform his body into magma. He was the one to kill Portgas D. Ace in front of Luffy. He has the embodiment of Haki but it’s not his area of expertise.
13. Kuzan
Kuzan was also the former Admirals along with Sakazuki. Sengoku wanted Kuzan to be the next Fleet Admiral, but disagreement of the fact led to the battle of Kuzan and Sakazuki where Sakazuki emerged as the victor.
He didn’t want to be under the dictatorship of Sakazuki, therefore he left the Navy. He is currently seen with the Blackbeard Pirates for unknown reasons. He ate the Hie Hie no Mi, a Logia-type Devil Fruit which helps him to create, control, and transform his body into ice. Being an admiral he could use Haki as well.

Honorary Mentions: 4 Strongest Characters in One Piece
1. Monkey D. Dragon
The Supreme Commander of the Revolutionary Army and also the father of our favorite protagonist Monkey D. Luffy. He is the ‘most wanted’ person per the government because of his protests and works against the World Nobles. The only reason he isn’t on the list is that his powers and identity aren’t much revealed yet. We all know he is one of the strongest or maybe the strongest after all.
2. All-Stars: King, Queen, and Jack
The highest-ranking officials under Kaido are King, Queen, and Jack. Three of them have Ancient Zoan-type Devil Fruit ability. They are definitely one of the strongest but much information isn’t available right now. The current Wano arc should reveal their strengths.
